Greetings from the Oakland Nature Friends Executive Board
Purposes and Activities
The purpose for which this Corporation was formed is of a non-political nature and shall consist primarily of the following:
-
To encourage the study of nature, and to disseminate the knowledge of the natural sciences;

To support and aid in the projection, conservation, and preservation of the woods, wildlife, and the natural resources of this country;

To promote friendship and good relations with other organizations and individuals who are sympathetic to the aforementioned purposes;

To foster, perpetuate, and preserve the European ( Austrian- German -Swiss) Alpine social activities, cultural heritage, and customs traditionally celebrated by members of this corporation;

To provide a social environment conducive to participation by families and individuals of all ages;

To foster and promote affordable membership in the corporation.
To accomplish these purposes, the activities of the Corporation shall comprise of the following:
. To acquire, build, and maintain shelters, houses, and other places for recreation;
. To organize hikes, camping trips, and outings;
. To build and mark trails for hiking and camping;
. To publish activity programs, club bulletins, reports, books, and magazines and to establish libraries;
. To arrange meetings, social and cultural activities, and exhibitions in relation to the aims of the Corporation.
